Press Instructions for DTF Transfers

Step-By-Step Pressing Instructions

Follow these steps to ensure perfect application every time.

1. No Need to Pre-Press or Pre-Iron

Moisture or wrinkle removal is not necessary. Only pre-press if you prefer.

2. Position Your Design

Place your transfer in the desired location and ensure it is flat before pressing.

3. Press & Peel After a Few Seconds

Press the transfer at 320°F / 160°C with medium to high pressure for ~8 seconds. It is recommended to test one piece first. Use parchment paper to protect your garment from touching the iron directly.

Wait a few seconds and peel! Immediate hot peel works on almost all garments. If the peel feels tight, let it cool and cold peel.

If parts of the design are not sticking, lay it back down and press again with added pressure and heat (+15°F). If unsuccessful, increase heat by 15°F increments until it transfers correctly.

If your settings are scorching the garment, the first step would be to reduce pressure. If that doesn’t work, retain the reduced pressure and reduce the heat by 10-15°F. With a little practice, you’ll find the right settings for each garment and material

Garment Type Temp Time Pressure Peel
Most garments 320°F / 165°C 8 seconds Firm Hot
Hoodies / thick items 330°F / 165°C 10 seconds Firm Cold (Safer for heavy textures)

4. Final Press (Optional)

After the design is transferred onto the garment, with the film peeled off, cover the design with parchment paper and press for 3 seconds.  Doing so enhances the value of your product by greatly improving the durability and softness as well as reducing the shine.

5. Wash Instructions

For best results and longevity, wash the garment inside out in cold water and dry on low heat or hang to dry.  Washing it with standard settings is fine, but it lasts longer with more delicate settings.

6. Home Iron Option

High heat – 25–30 seconds. Hot peel. If it resists, let it cool and cold peel. Finish press for 5 seconds with parchment paper.

Note:

Premium hybrid film designed for fast, consistent hot-peel production.

Cold peel is always available by preference or when a garment holds extra heat.
